  • Dr. Dani Hoolahan

    Dr. Dani Hoolahan

    Board Certified Veterinary Dermatologist®

    Dr Dani graduated from Murdoch University in 2007 with honours. She worked in busy, small animal general practices both in Sydney, Australia and Portland, Oregon before completing a dermatology internship in Perth, Western Australia and then moving to the University of California, Davis to join the dermatology service at the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital as a resident.

    She completed her residency in 2013 and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in the same year. She has worked in busy dermatology referral practice since 2014 and is the founder of the Veterinary Dermatology Clinic.

  • Dr. Callum Bennie

    Dr. Callum Bennie

    Board Certified Veterinary Dermatologist®

    Dr. Callum hails from the trendy inner west of Sydney and has wanted to be a vet for as long as he can remember. While studying veterinary medicine at the University of Sydney he conducted research into antibiotic therapy for mycobacterial skin diseases in cats – a research project that sparked his love of veterinary dermatology. After a stint in small animal practice in Canberra, he relocated back to Sydney and undertook an intensive small animal medicine internship prior to pursuing specialty training in dermatology at Colorado State University’s James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Dr. Callum is thrilled to be home and now working with the Veterinary Dermatology Clinic. He loves all aspects of dermatology and looks forward to helping you and your pet!

  • Dr. Taryn Ann Bonnette

    Dr. Taryn Ann Bonnette

    BVSc, Dermatology Intern

    Dr Taryn is a South African veterinarian that qualified from Onderstepoort University in November 2006, the only Veterinary medicine faculty in South Africa. After graduating she worked in a small companion animal clinic in Johannesburg.

    In August 2008 she relocated to the Netherlands where she shadowed a clinic of board-certified specialists and followed the Advanced Internal Medicine courses for general practitioners at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands.  After living in Europe for seven years Taryn returned to South Africa to work in a larger, 24-hour, companion animal clinic under the guidance of a European board-certified Internal Medicine specialist whilst concurrently developing an interest in Veterinary Dermatology facilitating a small Dermatology clinic. Upon relocating to Australia in February 2019 she completed an Internship in Small Animal medicine at the Small Animal Specialist hospital in Tuggerah and at Sydney Veterinary Emergency and Specialists before joining Dr Dani and the team in December of 2021.  

    Taryn’s aspiration is to complete a residency in Veterinary Dermatology, and call Australia home.

  • Dr Jessica Wallace

    Dr Jessica Wallace

    BVSc (Hons I), MVS, Dermatology Intern

    Dr Jess graduated from Sydney University in 2009, achieving first class honours by undertaking a research project in dermatology and sparking her interest in all things skin. She worked in small animal general practice in South Western Sydney and the Southern Highlands, and completed a Masters of Veterinary Studies in Small Animal Practice through Murdoch University. After a hiatus on maternity leave, Dr Jess has joined the VDC team as an enthusiastic intern, keen to meet all the beautiful VDC patients and their pet parents and help them on their skin journey.

  • Carlee

    Carlee

    Head Veterinary Nurse

    Carlee has been working as a veterinary nurse since 2011 and joined the VDC team in January 2019.  She was promoted to head of our veterinary nursing team in early 2022 and now oversees many areas of the practice including technical and operational support, scheduling and is our team liaison.   Carlee has extensive experience working in general practice, as well as emergency and specialist nursing. Carlee is on call to answer any questions you may have and is available to discuss your pet’s test results, medications or appointments.

    As a pet parent of a dog with skin disease, Carlee understands the frustration and distress of trying to soothe their itch!

  • Eliska

    Eliska

    Veterinary Nurse

    Eliska has been working as a veterinary nurse for about 20 years and has vast experience in all areas of veterinary practice including general practice, shelter and rehabilitation, specialist referral and emergency and critical care.

    Eliska joined the VDC team in 2018 and is part of the consulting team travelling to clinics throughout Australia with Dr Dani. Eliska is responsible for dispensing lots of cuddles, pats and calming advice during your pet’s consult.

  • Georgia

    Georgia

    Veterinary Nurse

    Georgia is a born and raised Canberran and has been working as a veterinary nurse in general practice since 2016, and started working at VDC in June 2022.
    You will find her working in the Canberra clinics and occasionally travelling to the regional clinics, along with helping to keep down the enormous pile of admin behind the scenes!
    Georgia is the owner of a very itchy Staffordshire Bull Terrier and has always been a dedicated advocate for dermatology treatment and management.
  • Tara

    Tara

    Veterinary Nurse

    Tara joins us with a wealth of experience having been a veterinary nurse for 16 years.  She has worked extensively in emergency and critical care at specialist and referral centres, including PET ICU.

    Now, turning her hand from saving lives to improving the quality of life for skin troubled companions – Tara is inspired by her own gorgeous Frenchies’ struggle with itchiness and ear disease and is determined to bring her energy and care into this area of veterinary practice.

    Tara is also a passionate teacher for both student nurses and pet parents, believing that furthering education leads to better outcomes for her patients

  • Reegan

    Reegan

    Practice Manager and Executive Assistant

    Reegan is an American transplant to Australia, She has been the behind-the-scenes operations queen at Vet Dermatology Clinic since 2019. It’s been a rewarding journey working alongside our incredible team of specialists and nurses, dedicated to delivering gold-star care and keeping tails wagging.

    Outside of VDC, her life is all about family, tennis and pursuing a Masters of Management. She likes to keep busy balancing the fast-paced world of veterinary dermatology with the excitement of raising tennis enthusiasts and all about teamwork, both at the clinic and on the court.

    Accounts Manager

    Caitlin has been with Dr Dani and the VDC team since its inception. With five pets at home, Caitlin is a serious animal lover and is here to assist you with any account queries.
